It’s not good to wash your hair too often, but you also don’t want to go out with greasy hair or tie it up all the time. Dry shampoo is used occasionally to absorb sebum and allows shampoos to be spaced out. Here’s a natural recipe to make at home.
Dry shampoos are often expensive and it’s not clear what’s in them. To make sure you know what you’re applying to your scalp, there’s nothing better than using homemade products. So here’s a recipe for a natural cocoa dry shampoo.
What you need
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder (depending on your hair colour, do not use if you are blonde)
- 5 drops of essential oil of your choice
- An empty pot
Mix the baking soda and cocoa, crushing well to obtain a homogeneous mixture. Add the drops of essential oil and mix again. Pour the mixture into the spice jar, or failing that, into a small jar whose lid you can pierce.
Apply a small amount of powder to the roots of your dry, styled hair, leave on for 3 minutes and style to remove the powder.
